Blogging it up

The Jack and Hill Beauty Blog talks about everything from cheap scarves to the bad Web design of a new makeup company to the newest trend: sheepskin-lined Crocs. I love the way this blog doesn't hold anything back when talking about all aspects of fashion and beauty. She also says whether the products she is testing was given to her for free.

The Beautynomics Blog is more cluttered and has less information about specific products. There is one entry that is just dedicated to how much the blogger likes eyeliner, but never mentioned a specific one. However, one entry that talked about lead in lipstick was quite interesting.

3 websites for you to enjoy...

I am so excited about the new products that are coming out in the fall line from LancĂ´me. Their Mystery Game palette is going for a darker, smoky look this season to go along with their theme of the burlesque.

Sephora provides the latest trends in makeup, skincare, and fragrance. Their weekly picks and "what's hot" links highlight the best selling products through their business.

California-based Smashbox Cosmetics is getting a head-start on the holiday season by promoting their Beyond Beauty Holiday 2007 gift packages before the rush starts. Similar to the other Web sites, Smashbox has a "What's New" and "What's Hot" link highlighting their most acclaimed and purchased products.

Beauty Discussion Forums

The Cosmetics Forum has everything related to cosmetic beauty, from foundation to mascara to perfume. The topics are mainly focused about solving beauty problems and which products to use. For example, I posted in the topic that discussed good foundations for hot/humid environments.

Beauty Addict Forums is more focused on the trend aspect of beauty and fashion, talking about new items being launched as well as trends that are picking up for each season (such as black lipstick for spring).

PR Writing Class

This blog is created as part of my PR Writing Class at the University of Florida. I will be discussing the launch of a new sun protection product from L'Oreal. This launch is not really happening and I am in no way affiliated with L'Oreal.
